This notice explains what happens to your personal information when you visit Parent with AI, join the newsletter or get in touch.
Who looks after your information
Parent with AI is run by Suki Murphy and is part of Viyful Limited (company number 16522139). Viyful Limited is the data controller, which means it is responsible for how your personal information is used.

When you browse the website
You can read the website without creating an account or sharing your email address. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requests for pages to deliver the website, identify errors and help keep it secure. We rely on our legitimate interests in running a reliable, secure website for this.
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google to download them, which shares technical information such as your IP address and the font request. We use this service to display the website's typography. Read Google's privacy policy for information about how Google handles data.
The newsletter signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. When you use the form, your browser connects to Cloudflare, which checks technical signals such as your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare does this on our behalf to block automated signups, does not use it to identify or profile you, and sets no cookies for it. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the newsletter list free of spam. Read Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice for details.
We have not added advertising trackers or visitor analytics to this website. See our Cookie information for more about browser storage.
When you join the newsletter
We use your email address to send the Parent with AI newsletter because you have asked to receive it. Our legal basis is your consent. MailerLite handles subscriptions and email delivery for us, including confirmation, delivery and unsubscribe records.
We count how many times each newsletter is opened, as a total only. Each email contains a small invisible image loaded from our own website. It carries nothing that identifies you or your subscription. When it loads we add one to that newsletter's total and keep an estimate of how many different readers opened it. We do not store your IP address or device details, we do not set a cookie, and we cannot see whether you personally opened an email. Email software can load images automatically, so the totals are approximate. We use them only to understand which newsletters are useful.
If you would rather not be counted at all, use the preferences link in any newsletter or email suki@parentwith.ai, and we will send you the same newsletters without the image.
Our welcome email asks whether you are happy for us to see when you open our emails. If you click yes, MailerLite will record when you individually open each newsletter, using an invisible image that reports the time, IP address, approximate location and device details. We do this only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time using the preferences link in any newsletter or by emailing suki@parentwith.ai. If you do not click, none of this happens and only the anonymous total above applies.
Separately, MailerLite records when a link in a newsletter is clicked and associates that click with your subscription. This is built into the way MailerLite sends email and cannot be switched off for an individual reader. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the newsletter for this link reporting. If you would rather your clicks were not recorded, email Suki: we will send you a plain copy of each newsletter from Suki's own mailbox instead, without tracked links, or you can unsubscribe. Delivery and unsubscribe records are still needed to run the newsletter.
You can withdraw your consent whenever you like using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter, or by emailing suki@parentwith.ai. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything we did before you withdrew it.
When you email Suki
We use your email address, your name if you provide it, and the contents of your message to respond and deal with your enquiry. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages and running Parent with AI. Our mailbox is provided by Namecheap Private Email.
Please avoid including children's names, school details, medical information or anything else you would prefer to keep private. The website is written for adults and does not ask children to register or send us their information.
Who else handles information
We use service providers to host the website, block automated signups, manage email and run the newsletter. They receive the information needed to provide those services. You can read more in the privacy notices for Vercel, Cloudflare, MailerLite and Namecheap.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
Some providers process information outside the UK. Where this happens, transfers must be covered by an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Links to social platforms and other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices. Information you share there is handled under those services' terms.
How long we keep information
We keep your newsletter details while you remain subscribed and the newsletter is running. If you unsubscribe, we keep the minimum record needed to respect that choice and, where necessary, demonstrate consent or deal with a complaint.
We retain newsletter engagement reports only while they are useful for reviewing the newsletter and remove or anonymise them when they are no longer needed.
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and resolve any follow-up. Where a message needs to be kept for a legal obligation or dispute, that determines the retention period. Technical records are retained according to the hosting service's settings and security needs. We review information we hold and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict how it is used, or receive information you have provided in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw newsletter consent.
To make a request, email suki@parentwith.ai. We may need to check your identity before sharing or changing information. You can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office through its complaints page.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the way we handle information changes, and tell you about significant changes where needed.
